This template checks the status of the ancestry page of a shelf in the Shelf:Page for {{Shelf:Page/display2}}.

• shelf — the name of the shelf, without the Shelf: prefix.
• parent — the name of a parent shelf or department, without the Shelf: or Department prefix.
• parent2 — optionally, the name of another parent shelf or department, without the Shelf: or Department prefix.
• parent page — the pagename of parent, including the prefix.
• parent2 page — the pagename of parent2, including the prefix.
